The Gar Hole is a great dive bar located in an old historic bank building that was once robbed by Bonnie & Clyde. It’s worth the trip to hang out, eat and have a cold drink or adult beverage (full bar) and get a bite to eat. They have live music on the weekends so check their online music calendar to see who will be playing. It’s not a big venue so you’ll be up close to your favorite artist. Most artist will hang out afterwards and mingle with the customers giving you the opportunity for that perfect photo opt. They serve typical bar food from a friendly staff who seem to enjoy their customers. I had the burger with tots ($11?) and it was good. You can also check their menu online. Drive up for the day, have some good food, and relax listening to good music provided by good people. What more can you ask for?

Great hidden gem for good food & great entertainment. The hospitality is warm & friendly. We were promptly met at the door, by the owner, who took us to our table & explained how the ordering worked. Well worth our 40 minute drive!

I've never been a "bar fly", but this place is my home bar! The owners and staff always greet you with a smile and a hug. I've met some of the best people here and started a band with some musicians I met at the Wednesday night picking circle! It's family friendly, burgers are simply amazing, beer is cold, and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun! The Gar Hole was voted "Best Little Roadhouse In Texas" by D Magazine for a reason!

Walking up I have to admit this place looked a little rough with the bars on the windows, but wow what a great spot once you get inside. The food was good, the band was amazing, and the bonus of a little Bonnie and Clyde history made this place somewhere I will be taking friends for years to come.

Loved my 1st time here! Great live Texas country music, friendly people, a solid burger and ice cold beer. Such a fun, casual & lively atmosphere! The very happy owner enjoying himself as much as the rest of us added to the experience. We’ll be returning!

This is one of the coolest live music venues in all of North Texas. It's best described as a family-friendly dive bar ("biker's welcome") with an amazing music program and a totally chill crowd.

The food is basic hamburger, fries, chicken sandwich and similar, put the kitchen's a real deal and the munchies come out quick and hot.

My only suggestion: My bougie taste in beer wants to see some locally brewed IPAs on tap.

Stopped here after going to Barnhill Vineyard. The food was good we ordered Frito Pie and burgers. The owner was super friendly and our service was quick. A little rough around the edges but overall a great reasonably priced place for a quick bite!

We had a few toddlers with us and they encouraged the boys to play outside where it was gated and gave the parents a little more time to relax while eating.

Would definitely go back.

I've spent my past 2 birthday's there and It's the kind of place where everyone feels like they're at home. The owner is amazing at making you feel like that too. Spider...you are the man! Thanks for a great time, everytime!
