The service was on point! Our server was quick to get our big group what we ever needed. The margaritas were so perfect! Everyone in our group liked their food. The location is what you want when hanging out on the lake. Great view! Was easy to dock our boat. Bathrooms were clean. All the staff in general were super friendly. I would definitely go back here… our whole group felt the same way. Good job team!! Y’all were awesome! Thank you so much! 🙂 We will be back for 100%… I highly recommend for anyone near or on Lake Travis looking to have a good time with some great food on the lake. ❤️?

The $16 Fried Catfish basket is amazing. I would eat that again and again, definitely a 10/10 from someone who grew up eating Cajun food in Louisiana, you guys know how to cook better than some cajun restaurants.

I recently moved to the Round Rock area ans I had to see this wonderful and unique hidden attraction in the Austin Area. There is people who have lived in the area far much longer that I have and have never visited this wonderful and amazing place and I have went ahead and shared this to them.

This place deserves more attention and I would come here again for sure! I have never eaten in a restaurant that literally floats on top of water. That sounds like something you would hear in the luxury resorts in the pacific and indian ocean but this restaurant takes that idea and makes it easily affordable. There are seafood restaurants that charge more and their food doesn't share the same quality as Captain Pete's. Captain Pete's is an "S" tier establishment. I spent less than $100 here with my family of 4 people.
I would average close to $20 per person here but remember that you are eating on top of water like a true lady/gentlemen that you are.

For food quality, the fries taste fresher than Five Guys fries and I would give it a fair comparison since Five Guys has one of the best fries out there. Captain Pete's fries is BETTER! The hushpuppies are great, definitely a 4/5. But you are here the entree, not for the hushpuppies. The coleslaw has a taste a lemon in it and its the best coleslaw I have ever tasted in a restaurant. Don't even bring up Raising Canes's coleslaw, we all know its subpar in the industry. The Fried Catfish itself was neither too crispy or too soggy. It is exactly what a FrIed Catfish is supposed to be but Captain Pete's does it BETTER with more flavor.

The food portion will leave you full before you can eat it all. I did my best.

The service was excellent. The servers/hostess makes you feel like you got invited into someone's home for dinner.

Overall 10/10 and amazing and unique location. Also don't forget to see the LIVE Catfish!

Great atmosphere but we did not like the tacos or the ceviche. The ceviche was swimming in lemon juice so all you could taste was strong lemon. The tacos had so much chili powder seasoning it was overbearing. Our server got the order wrong the first time and never came back to refill our drinks. We had to flag down a different server for water.

Had a super solid meal here with EXCELLENT service and hospitality. I enjoyed the blackened salmon salad and my friend enjoyed her fried shrimp basic. I ate every last bite of my salad! Yum! The bathrooms were air conditioned and clean.

It’s sad to see the lake so low. I hope for everyone’s sake and the environment that it fills back up… it’s concerning. Still nice to be on the water for a lunch, but the low level is impossible to not notice.

Our party of three got out on the lake mid morning all the while watching out for rain and storms. We were very lucky to miss the rain and to find Captain Pete's.

We arrived after the lunch rush and we were seated right away. We placed our order with the help of our awesome waiter. He recommendations were spot on.

As we waited for our food to be served, we watched 3 little children as they appeared to bed feeding the ducks. Larry we saw they were feeding hundreds of very large catfish right off the dock!

Be sure to go to the railing on the patio lakeside to see some really huge catfish.

We were also treated to some live music out on the patio. Everything was really clean and the staff was very friendly. They do have inside dining and a bar if you prefer.

We will definitely have lunch with Captain Pete on our next trip to the lake!

Similar to The Oasis, you're paying for the Lake Travis view, not Michelin star fare. However, we knew that going in and found the food comparable to an upper scale bar or nightclub menu. The blackened salmon was not over or undercooked (although served on a bed of rice would have been a little nicer than on a bed of fries), and the bang bang shrimp was interesting - good flavor.
We'll return again the next time we're on the lake.

My family and I went to Captain Pete’s thinking it would be very good. When we got there, it all seemed well. So we sat down, and the waiter told us that the only things they had were buffalo wings and burgers because they were sold out of everything. I ordered wings and the rest of my family ordered burgers. We got our drinks and were watching the football game. After a very long time, my food came, but my family's food did not come yet. And then we saw the people that came after us get their food before us, and then we waited a very long time until their food came. When we saw the food, we realized that it was white bread for the buns. We recently got a new boat and started spending time on Lake Travis. On our third trip out on the lake and with a boat full of guests, we started to run low on fuel. We pulled into their dock, fueled up and used the restrooms. Fuel price was pretty reasonable for being on the lake. The young lady that helped us at the pump was super friendly and helpful. Their restaurant and bar looked great! We plan to come visit again and stay for a meal. So glad there’s a place like this for us to hang out on Lake Travis!
